I have had a vision for photography and film for my entire life, but it took awhile to realize it and to realize how passionate I was about it. In 2022, I took a leap of faith and quit my teaching career to become a full time photographer. I immediately began dabbling in video and I found capturing moments in motion is one of my favorite things ever. I feel like I literally see life through the lens, even when I’m not behind it and allowing this creative side of myself to really come to light has been so rewarding and I cannot wait to share that with my clients. I've taken pictures of all the things for all of my life. From my grandmas disposable cameras to cell phones to cheap dslr cameras to now my trusty, mirrorless Canon R5. I taught myself all I know and will continue to learn new things for as long as I can! My walls growing up were covered with pictures of friends and pets and things and now I get to help you cover your walls with memories, too. 'I've been photographing weddings for nearly 10 years and I love getting to meet new couples and vibe with them as I create images that tell the story of them & their day! 

Random facts -

-I also love to travel. It's one of my absolute favorite things - connecting with nature and different cultures and ways of life. Catching sunrises & sunsets in beautiful places-I'm always down for a destination wedding!
- I could eat pizza or bacon any or every day of the week.
- I have metal rods in my back limiting my ability to bend - so I rarely wear tie shoes!!
- I live on a very small-scale ranch and have all sorts of animals including horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, cats, fish, geese, ducks, chickens, and guineas!
- I'm weirdly picky - I don't like many sweets, coffee, pie, fish, etc. Circle back to the first random fact + some tacos, chips, and cheese dip and you've won me over 🤣
- I have sang in some of the most amazing churches and cathedrals in Europe through the UNK choir!

When Megan and I started talking as I was preparing to quit my job, she was so supportive, even knowing we were each others’ competition. Through the past couple of years we’ve started working more closely with one another and we have worked several weddings with each other and in place of each other. In 2023, I got hurt and had to step away from my scheduled sessions and weddings for a few months and Megan 110% had my back - she even got on a plane and flew to Maine in the middle of her busy season to capture a wedding so my friend didn’t have to search for a new photographer. She covered for me as best she could and was an absolute lifesaver to me and several of my brides without hesitation. When she approached me with the idea to become business partners, it was absolutely a no brainer. We have become the best of friends and share all the same creative visions and goals. I am absolutely ecstatic to work and grow our business together with her! Brides - we are dedicated to telling your unique story and we absolutely cannot wait to meet you!

I’ve been the girl behind the lens for KelsiB Photography for about 10 years. I am a mom of 3 wild & free little farm boys who keep me on my toes 24/7 and the wife of my high school sweetheart. They are my purpose in all that I do and motherhood is at the core of my existence.
